On the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion-on-demand, newly inaugurated Kamala Harris tweeted out her support for abortion, writing, “We recommit ourselves to ensuring that everyone has access to care—including reproductive health care.”
However, Harris’ pro-abortion message didn’t hear any praise from pro-life Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, who quipped back at her, “Abortion isn’t healthcare.”
In a subsequent tweet, Lee wrote, “Join me in supporting healthcare for Tennessee women and the unborn by donating $48 to @hopeclinic today. #RoeVWade.” Hope Clinic in Nashville, Tennessee, is a pro-life pregnancy center offering women alternatives to abortion. The clinic website reads, “We believe in the sanctity of human life, including your own life.”
In July of 2020, Gov. Bill Lee signed multiple pro-life bills protecting mothers and their children. One measure protects a child from being aborted after a fetal heartbeat is detected. Another makes it a felony for a doctor to abort a child due to its sex or race, its diagnosis of Down Syndrome, or if a child is in the custody of the Department of Children’s Services.
Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have already begun their pro-abortion agenda, rescinding the Mexico City Policy, which protects American taxpayers from funding abortions abroad, and promising to fund abortion facilities like Planned Parenthood with taxpayer dollars.
Abortion IS NOT health care. There are wonderful people out there that would love to have a child and cant. Instead of abortion give a baby a loving family. And as a child is known to be alive closer and closer to conception, a reasonable definition of the beginning of a “person”‘s life also is closer & closer to the theological “God’s” definition of the beginning of an individual’s human life. Except some States have NOT taken up the issue of legally defining such a key missing “fact”.
Yes, in some regions children must survive for a year or two until being recognized. Dogs, cats, even wild animals receive more legal protection than a 3 month old child in a mother’s womb.
