On Thursday, it was announced by ‘The Satanic Temple’ (TST) that they are suing the state of Texas on behalf of a TST member dubbed “Ann Doe” over the state’s abortion laws.

According to a press release from the Satanic organization, it is “suing the state of Texas for imposing medically unnecessary abortion regulations including a sonogram, a forced decision to reject the ‘opportunity’ of seeing the sonogram results, the forced listening to a narrative of the sonogram results, and a mandatory waiting period between the sonogram and the abortion.”

“Doe performed TST’s abortion ritual, a ceremonial affirmation of self-worth and bodily autonomy that integrates the abortive process. Prior to filing the lawsuit, TST’s attorney sent a letter to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, which demanded an exemption from the abortion restrictions on behalf of Ann Doe.”

The entity’s lawyer claims, “The abortion ritual (1) requires an abortion; and (2) affirms her religious subscription to TST’s Third and Fifth Tenets. But before Ms. Doe can get her abortion–and therefore participate in the abortion ritual–the government has required that she get a sonogram… [ These ] requirements substantially interfere with Ms. Doe’s religious beliefs and practices for two reasons. First, the requirements are a precondition to Ms. Doe’s ability to participate in a religious ceremony. It is a substantial interference per se for the state to place a regulatory hurdle–one that costs money–in front of a religious exercise. The state might as well tax and regulate Mass.”

TST later revealed the suit’s purpose, which says “the lawsuit directly challenges restrictive abortion laws that violate TST’s religious beliefs in a state that champions religious [sic] liberty through their implementation of Texas’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act.”

The lawsuit is not expected to go anywhere. However, the Governor and the Attorney General have not commented.

God has a plan for them and all that participate in abortion at “ The Great White Throne Judgment “. It is the eternal abode of all God rejecting people. It is referred to as The Lake of Fire .

I think my great state of Texas should just have an open hunting season on ALL of the satanic temples and attendees of said “services”. Like hunting feral hogs, no bag limit but you must have a valid hunting license. Thinning out the ranks so to speak ….

Do not give in to tst! Ever since the pandemic, Christians were ignored of their spiritual needs such as prayer meetings, the Lord’s Table, singsperation, etc., are all restricted. There is no authority over the rights of pregnant women of their sonograms. The waiting time is necessary between sonogram and abortion because the rush is ridiculous. There should be no law that allows anyone to kill, no, for any religion. Otherwise, those who allow killing violate the law.

Good question. The answer is No! No one is born a satanist. They become satanist by yielding to satan with the help of other unGodly people who have given their souls to satan. Abortion isn’t the answer to anything. Abortion is unquestionably murder. Leave the taking of a life to God.

I am a Christian, a misplaced Texan living in Louisiana, and have always been proud of your stand in the abortion issue. Governor and Attorney General: PLEASE do not succumb to the demands of the Satanic Temple. You are better than that.
Thank you.

Well done, Church of Satan, standing up for women’s rights that Texas abandoned. What a hole.

So these people get pregnant on purpose for the sole reason of having an abortion performed? Wow. Not even Game of Thrones had a villain that evil. And you know what? God deeply and truly loves each one of them. So here’s your challenge for the week. Forgive them. They need our prayers.

I’m just wondering how many people here realize that the TST is just an atheist organization that uses it’s status as a “religion” to batter down laws imposed by the religious.
“Waaaah, they’re godless heathens! They kill infants!”
But God does not have much issue with killing infants, children, or the unborn.
Remember, should a man kill another man or woman, it is death. But God says if a man fights woman with child, he must only pay a fine should the fetus die (and the woman’s husband has EVERY right to beat the piss out of that man).

What is funny is that the State of Texas has already lost this case on the merits in 2016 – IE: those rules are unconstitutional.
