On Wednesday, a state judge in Travis County, Texas ruled that the state could defund the Planned Parenthood abortion business, siding with state officials declining Planned Parenthood’s bid to block state officials from removing the abortion company from the state Medicaid program.

“This decision is not made lightly. In the light of the ongoing public health crisis, the risks of the individual losing health care and medical attention requires increased attention and scrutiny,” Judge Lora Livingston wrote in an order denying Planned Parenthood’s requested injunction.

“The merits of their claims must be determined by the federal courts,” she wrote.

According to Life News, “The decision to defund Planned Parenthood came after the abortion business was exposed selling the body parts of aborted babies.”

Life News reports:

Jennifer Allmon, executive director of the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops, said Texans have much better options for health care than abortion groups like Planned Parenthood.

“There are hundreds of providers throughout the state of Texas willing to serve poor women with authentic healthcare services that are not also peddling abortion,” Allmon said. “The Texas Pregnancy Care Network has a list of such providers throughout the state and if these providers do not accept Medicaid, they can make referrals to life-affirming Medicaid providers who can offer genuine healthcare to women in need.”

Planned Parenthood facilities in Texas receive about $3.1 million in taxpayer funding from Medicaid annually, according to the East Texas Review. The abortion chain estimates it sees about 8,000 patients in Texas every year through the program, according to the Tribune.

Despite its leaders claims, Planned Parenthood does not provide much basic health care. Its “core mission” is aborting unborn babies. And its own annual reports show that the few actual health services that it does provide, such as birth control, cancer screenings and sterilizations, have been dropping steadily in recent years.

While Medicaid funds do not pay for abortions directly (Planned Parenthood is lobbying lawmakers to change that), they do indirectly fund Planned Parenthood’s abortion business. According to its most recently annual report, Planned Parenthood received $616.8 million in government funding nationally, approximately 90 percent of which came from Medicaid.

Planned Parenthood is a billion-dollar abortion organization, killing 345,672 children in abortion according to its last annual report, an increase of 3.88 percent from the previous year.

If one Judge can say that ,they all can in every state. Know who you vote for.

Notice the wiggle room. “The merits of their claims must be determined by the federal courts,” she wrote. If kicked up to the federal courts nothing will change.
