This 40 Days for Life, which just concluded, resulted in over 454 babies being saved because of sidewalk advocates taking time to pray, counsel, and empower women to choose life for their babies instead of abortion.

According to Life News:

When an abortion-bound woman arrived at Milwaukee’s abortion facility, no fewer than five escorts swarmed her to make sure sidewalk counselors couldn’t share abortion alternatives.

“But she parked in a tow zone,” Dan said. “I knew she’d be back to re-park the car, so I took a walk across the street and waited.”

Sure enough, the expectant mother came back out, providing Dan with 45 seconds to tell her about the local pregnancy help center before the escorts interfered again. The woman eventually left the abortion facility, telling volunteers she hadn’t made up her mind about abortion…but she didn’t make it farther than the gas station across the street.

“She had two flat tires but no money to air them up,” Dan said.

Dan bought three tokens for the gas station air pump, helped the abortion-vulnerable mom fill her tires, and asked about her baby and her needs. As they finished working on the car, Dan told the woman he hopes he doesn’t see her at the abortion facility again.

“You won’t. I know I can’t do it. I know that now,” she replied.

“I’m going to give you these other two tokens in the hope that you one day tell your child how you changed your mind about having an abortion because some guy helped you out when you needed it,” Dan told her.

The mother thanked him and went home.

“The tire pump token cost one dollar,” Dan added.

Many pro-lifers came out to rally and support life through this 40 Days for Life campaign, and it has brought more sidewalk advocates out to defend the most vulnerable babies in the womb. Here is a one closing event from the 40 Days sidewalk ministry in Washington, DC:
