The liberal website Slate recently came out with a pro-abortion article on the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling against pro-abortionists in favor of an Ohio law to ban abortions based upon the child’s abilities (such as Down Syndrome). Slate implied that aborting babies simply because of their perceived ability is not eugenics.
Slate’s Mark Joseph Stern writes, “The Supreme Court has never squarely confronted these “trait-selection” laws, which often forbid abortions because of race or sex as well; while these bans have cropped up around the country in recent years, courts have consistently ruled that they are foreclosed by precedent. The 6th Circuit’s conservative majority, by contrast, made a bet that today’s SCOTUS will weaken or overturn Roe and Casey to uphold Ohio’s statute—and, perhaps, overturn the constitutional right to abortion in the process.”
However, National Review’s Alexandra DeSanctis fought back on Twitter, writing, “Selectively killing babies with Down syndrome is not in fact eugenics, according to this @Slate explainer.”
She added, “So much of the case for unlimited abortion rests on constantly redefining terms to suit their purposes. It’s not a human being; it’s a ‘clump of cells.’ It’s not partial-birth abortion; it’s ‘intact dilation & evacuation.’ It’s not eugenics; it’s a woman’s ‘right to choose.’”
“Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense, all the way down. Half the battle of the pro-life movement is to insist upon cutting through the euphemisms and smokescreens to the heart of the matter. Forget about wrangling over terms. Ask them: What happens in an abortion, and why is that okay?”

Do you agree with DeSanctis, the 6th Circuit, and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas that aborting babies because of their perceived abilities is eugenics?
Selective abortion fits the definition to the letter. But like all murdering leftists they try to change the meaning of words. Twist it anyway you like but selective abortions ARE eugenics and the US is famous for the practice over the years. Bill Gates, the head of NIH, Dr. Collins, and many more pushing vaccines and abortions are also avowed eugenicists and depopulationists.
Aborting babies with disabilities is moat absolutely ‘Eugenics’. The left always lies about anything they want that the rest of us know is wrong/evil!
Liars!!!! Any abortion is eugenics. It’s the murdering of an innocent, and they don’t care. It is not pro-choice, when the only option they give you is murdering your baby.
A baby is an exact copy of a human being, cells and all. What about those born alive whom they murder by inserting an instrument in their necks at the back of the scull. Or how bout when they dismember that baby in the womb so it won’t resemble a human being when it is removed. You pro abortionists make me and most human beings sick.
My favorite uncle had Downs syndrome, he worked all his life, both on my grandparents farm, and at the local saw mill. He was just an average functioning Downs syndrome person, but he was full of love he lived to be about 66 years old which in the seventies was a long time for someone with Downes syndrome. All the kids, family, and friends were better for knowing my uncle Earl, you could not always understand his words, but he always had a big smile, and laughed a lot, the thought of anyone referring to Uncle Earl or anyone like him as a clump of cells shows they have had little or no life experience with people that have downs syndrome people, and should not be making decisions about things they know nothing about.
I know a number of Downs syndrome kids and they are the SWEETEST individuals, beloved of God for their angelic natures. Know what? Not ONE of us is perfect. We’re ALL aspies on this bus!
What is the Catholic Church doing about all this stuff? ANYTHING AT ALL??? Or are they in partnerships with the Democrats?
