Catholic Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City, Kansas criticized Joe Biden on Friday for introducing a federal budget plan with direct taxpayer funding for elective abortions.

Naumann, who chairs the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ pro-life committee, urged Congress to reject Biden’s plan and protect unborn children, the Church Militant reports.
Biden’s 2021 budget proposal eliminates the Hyde Amendment, a decades-old bipartisan measure that prohibits taxpayer funding for elective abortions in Medicaid. The life-saving amendment has strong public support and even Biden supported it for many years, but now the billion-dollar abortion industry wants it gone.
“For nearly half a century, the Hyde Amendment and related provisions have protected taxpayers from funding most abortions. These policies have broad support from Democrats and Republicans,” Naumann responded in a statement Friday.
“Taxpayer-funded abortion represents a failure to serve women in their maternity by funding despair and death instead of hope and life,” the archbishop continued.
He said the Hyde Amendment has “protected millions of unborn babies and mothers in difficult circumstances from the tragedy of abortion.”
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is set to discuss denying Eucharist to pro-abortion politicians who are not in Full Communion with the Catholic Church.
Oh Biden doesn’t care about a Bishop in Kansas City..he’s a Devout Catholic, and his unlimited support for a woman’s right to murder her unborn baby, doesn’t at all mean he isn’t one of the best most religious Catholics on the planet..I’m sure when he meets the Pope he can tell his holiness, that Abortion A-OK, and don’t be such an old fuddy duddy…..maybe Pelosi can join him ….after all they are two of the biggest proponents of Abortion right up until the time of birth…….they can tell the Pope they’ll both pray for him.
Honestly, I really don’t care. If a woman wants to make that choice, that is totally up to her and her conscience…the ONLY thing that bothers me is Politicians that wave their holiness in front of everyone’s face, and at the same time be hypocritical about their faith, and the principles of that faith.
Maybe you have a point.. But there also should be the right to take the life of murderers and rapists and other violent criminals. If we can allow a mother to kill her unborn we should have the right to capital punishment to rid society of evil people. Oh and tell that to the animal rights people!
What is there to discuss? Read the Bible. read the ten commandments given to Moses.
“Thou shall not Kill.” That’s it. Abortion is murder of the innocent. PERIOD.
We cannot ignore the fact that thousands of babies have been, and are being murdered and their body parts have been, and are being sold….. for money.
God will not be mocked.
Is this not murder of the innocent, of the defenseless? So murder is committed, and then it’s okay, and the Bishops get to discuss this…..IT IS WHAT IT IS and there are those who are responsible for this sin, and for leading others to sin…over and over again…
And we want to discuss this…..and to say its okay to receive the Holy Eucharist with blood on our hands,

You are spot on, Archbishop. Biden’s hatred for children and the Catholic Church is astounding. All he had to do was to leave the Hyde amendment alone. He is not a hypocrite. He is the devil incarnate and Pelosi is the she devil.
MAY GOD SMITE ALL WHO SUPPORT BABY MURDER. NO AFFLICTION IS TOO HARSH. THOSE WHO KILL AND DISMEMBER INNOCENT BABIES HAVE NO RIGHT TO LIVE. WHERE ARE THEIR TERMINAL,LIFE ENDING WELL EARNED DISEASES.
