The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has decided not to hold a vote on denying pro-abortion Catholic politicians the Holy Eucharist.

Life News reports:

“We are no longer proposing a national policy” regarding who may present themselves for Communion, Bishop Kevin Rhoades of Indiana’s Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese told delegates to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops meeting late today. He called the idea of whether to deny pro-abortion politicians communion one that “was in the original proposal to the administrative committee, but we never meant it as it’s been interpreted in many media sources.”

The Washington Times further reported:

According to Bishop Rhoades, the idea of setting a standard for the administration of Communion in the United States came from the Vatican’s chief doctrinal panel.

“As a matter of fact, the whole idea of a national policy didn’t come from the [bishop’s] Committee on Doctrine. It came from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith” as the two groups consulted, Bishop Rhoades told a news conference after the meeting. He added that the Vatican office “saw differences of opinion among bishops regarding who should receive Holy Communion. So that’s really where we got that idea from.”

Arlington, Virginia, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge also emphasized the preliminary nature of this week’s discussions and potential vote to proceed with the drafting of a document on the Eucharist.

Bishop Burbidge said what “the bishops are seeing Thursday is merely an outline. And with the vote to go forward with it, then that full process of discussion and amendments — the bishops will have plenty of time to weigh in on that.”

A new poll of faithful Catholics found that 74% of regular churchgoers want pro-abortion Catholic politicians to not receive Communion.

Sadly this sounds like a “cave” to me. If these merchants of death, so called “catholic” politicians (Pelosi Biden et al) are not publicly held to some account within the church by the church then what else is there. This is not playing politics with the faith as the Pope seems to indicate. This is fundamental tenets of the Catholic Church and if the so called catholic politicians cant handle this then they should not be given the opportunity to participate, unless they change their heart and denounce the abortion industry. But you see they cant. Theres too much power and money involved and sadly that outweighs the denouncing of abortion. Its all about votes to them and Catholics, all Christians, need to wake up and not vote for these liars and not give them more of a platform to promote the evil that they embrace.

Pelosi must have called them and threatened them. They were right the first time around. First of all, anyone who is a “true biblical” Christian is totally against abortion. It is as the bible says “the shedding of innocent blood” of one of the 7 things God hates the most.

We were taught you cannot receive communion if you are in sin. You bishops know what Biden is doing you giving him communion is so wrong and yet there is only about 8 good priests sticking up for our Lord. The bishops are cowards why don’t you get some backbone and stick up for the one your really working for GOD.

No vote is a vote, i find it so very hard to pray for such leadership but, i have bc that is the church’s teaching.
In Revealations Jesus spoke of the 7 churches, he outlined all of their behaviors, good and bad, one in particular he spoke abt being “Luke-warm they were. neither hot or, no vote is a “no” vote, bc they were neither hot or cold, Jesus said ” I will spew u from my mouth. These people need to realize who the “Head” of the church is. It’s not that guy in Rome. Although we have to have physical leadership they are supposed to teach us the truth. All we Can and Have to do is pray, pray,
pray. The pope is trying to make this a global
mandate so no one can go to another parish where the truth is being taught. Can’t u people get rid of this guy? Sorry, i am wrong abt that, my God will take care of that.

Jesus also said that a person who can’t tell the truth has no truth in him. JESUS IS THE TRUTH. That man does not have ME in him so he can’t tell the truth.

Get your Bible out of hiding and read it on the subject. It’s in my Bible and it’s in yours too.

While it is understandable that the Pope is concerned that the Church not get into politics, I think the Bishops should remind their Priests that they need to give communion only to those they believe are upholding the tenants of the Catholic Church. They should not advertise who they do not share communion with.

Earlier today: “ The vote by the U.S bishops was overwhelming.
168-55 to be exact. That’s 75%.
They approved moving forward with a much-needed teaching document on the Eucharist.”
How can they not discuss communion for pro-abortion killers!?!

This could be the downfall of the institution of the Catholic Church. God is coming back for a unified church so maybe this is a means to unify all the churches and stop all the divisions of the denominations. All religions just need to get back to the Bible and follow the Word of God.
