Pro-abortion extremists angered by the pro-life Texas Heartbeat Act have twisted the truth and concealed facts.

The latest offering comes from Trish Zornio at the Pennsylvania Capital-Star. While Zornio accused pro-lifers of ignoring science to push an agenda, it was Zornio who played fast and loose with facts.
“Anti-abortion activists love to tell you you’re killing babies, yet there are at least four distinct scientific terms relating to human development that should not be used interchangeably: zygote, embryo, fetus and baby,” Zornio said. “A zygote is an egg cell that has been fertilized with a male gamete, or sperm… After fertilization, the zygote will form into a blastocyte and then an embryo. This cluster of cells begins to map head versus tail and primitive systems. Only after the eighth week of pregnancy is the term fetus applied.”

A favorite claim of abortion advocates is that a preborn child doesn’t have a real heartbeat. “At six weeks, the embryo — not fetus — does not have a fully functioning heart,” Zornio wrote. “Instead, an ultrasound detects electrical activity in localized primitive cells of the embryo that will later go on to develop into a full cardiac system.”
Live Action says that Zornio’s assertions have “literally no bearing in scientific reality” and that Zornio is ignoring critical facts about the humanity of babies in the womb.
They can try to dehumanize the creation of Life all they want, but when they stand before God they will have no excuses… and He will have no mercy!

The meaning of the word fetus is human baby; so ending a pregnancy after the 8th week is terminating a living human baby. But if it’s a human baby at 8 weeks along, why is it not also a living human baby prior to that? Clever wordplay doesn’t change that; as my doctor said to me “someone is in there”.

I would argue that this is the “scientific reality”. The inconvenient truth in this scenario is that these clusters of cells are the living, growing, beginning of a human being-made in the image of God. Regrettably, sometimes abortion is necessary-but to promote the casual killing of unborn children is heinous and despicable.
My 31-yr old son was born 7 wks premature. He had the hiccups through at least half of that. He was born with everything he should have. He was and is healthier than my best friend’s full-term baby. He spent 3 wks in the NICU and you’ve never seen warrior spirits till you’ve seen most preemies! He very rarely gets sick, even when those around him are. First you tried killing off the Down’s Syndrom babies. But, they’ve begun to make a comeback. Now you’re going after the preemies. I dare say they ALL have higher IQ’s than this evil woman.
These are very dark and demonic beings and have only one goal! That is the total domination and destruction of God’s children!
