According to KATU, the Portland City Council unanimously approved changes to the city’s bereavement leave policy in October to allow time off for employees experiencing pregnancy-related loss. That now includes abortions.
According to the document:
A qualifying pregnancy is defined as the pregnancy of the employee or employee’s spouse or partner; or any pregnancy, including through surrogacy or adoption, where the employee or employee’s spouse or partner would have been parent or primary caregiver.
“Miscarriage” is defined by the American Academy of Pediatrics as loss of pregnancy prior to 20 weeks gestation.
“Stillbirth” is defined by the American Academy of Pediatrics as loss of pregnancy from 20 weeks gestation or more.
“Other loss” is defined as any other loss of pregnancy including termination, irrespective of whether deemed medically necessary, and loss incurred during fertility treatment.

They have been known to, but that’s because there’s something wrong in their brain, they’re missing the nurturing instinct. We’ve all heard about people that do not have that instinct and they murder or torture or rape their own or other children. Tragically that’s becoming all too common now. There’s nothing that delights Satan more than getting Man to destroy his own offspring and he is very busy doing that!

This makes no sense. The mother is _choosing_ to have an abortion. No matter what she says, she is not grieving.

This is a first step in coming to realize that abortion is murder.
In order to genuinely “bereave” you must feel something for the person you’re bereaving for, but a baby that they voluntarily killed by having it ripped out of their womb… I seriously doubt they’ll be bereaving for that baby! And if they are, then maybe they shouldn’t have had the abortion in the first place! For certain unscrupulous women, this will be used as another excuse to get out of working…
I thought abortion proponent said they were good things, so why the bereavement?
I pray that some will use this time to reflect on what they have done and repent. Some indeed may be grieving because they were pressured into this act. Abortion is a forgivable sin. God is eager to forgive the repentant.
