New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney, one of the most powerful elected officials in the garden State, has finally conceded his race to a pro-life Republican truck driver, Edward Durr.

Life News reports:

Sweeney, a Democrat, lost to Republican political newcomer and commercial truck driver Edward Durr, who is a pro-life conservative who spent ust over $2,000 on his race.

“I of course accept the results. I want to congratulate Mr. Durr and wish him the best of luck,” Sweeney said during a speech at the statehouse complex Wednesday.

“It was a red wave,” he admitted, saying that an overwhelming Republican turnout in his suburban district of Philadelphia made the difference for Durr.

Now Democrats in the state Senate will have to find a new leader for their party’s caucus.

“I joked with people and I said, ‘I’m going to shock the world, I’m going to beat this man,’” Durr said Wednesday afternoon. “I was saying it, but really kind of joking. Because what chance did a person like me really stand against this man? He’s literally the second-most powerful person in the state of New Jersey.”

Someone “bidened” up and didn’t create enough fake votes to push the DIMM over the top!

These aoles can’t do it everywhere. There is risk and there is jail time. They figured the vote to be in the bag and they were wrong.
