California Governor Gavin Newsom says he intends to use the Supreme Court’s decision. to allow the Texas abortion ban to stay in place as a model for stricter gun control laws in his state.

Newsom said the Supreme Court’s decision has set a precedent that will allow states to avoid federal courts when enacting laws.
The Texas law allows private citizens to sue anyone who helps a woman get an abortion after a fetal heartbeat can be detected.
“I am outraged by yesterday’s U.S. Supreme Court decision allowing Texas’s ban on most abortion services to remain in place,” Newsom wrote in a statement Saturday. “But if states can now shield their laws from review by the federal courts that compare assault weapons to Swiss Army knives, then California will use that authority to protect people’s lives, where Texas used it to put women in harm’s way.”
He said he has already directed his staff to work with the legislature and the attorney general to craft a bill that would allow private citizens to sue those who manufacture, distribute or sell an assault weapon or ghost gun kit.
Will Newsom get his wish or will this attempt be shot down?
There’s a pretty big gap between suing a person attempting to kill an unborn human and suing a person preparing for self defense. Newsom’s view of both areas seems upside down. Perhaps that’s why California itself has socially capsized.

Gov. Nuisance is an idiot elected by idiots. Pelosi’s nephew is not satisfied destroying California, he has turned it into a breakfast cereal, but wants to destroy all of America. He has made the supply chain impossible to fix by demanding truckers must be a California resident, belong to a union he favors, and be vaccinated. How many truck drivers will be incompliance with all three? I believe there will be a lot of traffic through the canal and from Europe on our eastern coast, mainly to Florida. Our ports are open and functioning very well.
