Apparently France thinks not enough babies are being killed in abortions every year. So, the French National Assembly voted today to extend the legal limit for abortion from 12 to 14 weeks. The bill received 135 votes in favor and 47 votes against, with nine abstentions.
According to the French Ministry of Health, there were 222,000 abortions in 2020. That number of babies dying from abortion will almost certainly increase.
Abortion has been legal in France since 1975, but, like many European nations, a limit of 12 weeks has been put in place that bans late-term abortions. Now, it’s legal to kill babies in abortions even closer to viability, which medical advances have pushed up to 21 weeks.
Under the new law, nurses are now allowed to kill babies in abortions as well. Leftists used to say abortion should be between a woman and her doctor, but no longer.
