Catholic Bishops in Maryland gathered on Wednesday to pray for babies in the womb as lawmakers rammed through a bill to further expand abortions and subsidize the killing of these innocents with taxpayer money.

Life News reports:

Leading the service at St. Mary’s Church in Annapolis, Baltimore Archbishop William Lori urged Catholics to pray for mothers in crisis and their unborn babies, according to Catholic Review, the newspaper of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Four other bishops also participated in the service.

“Pray for our elected officials, that they might find the strength and courage to promote the dignity of all human life – including the unborn – just as they seek to do in so many other legislative initiatives designed to protect and promote God’s great gift,” Lori said.

One day before the prayer vigil, the state legislature passed a radical pro-abortion bill that allows nurse practitioners, midwives and physician assistants to abort unborn babies. It also allocates $3.5 million taxpayer dollars to train medical workers to become abortionists and forces health insurance plans to cover elective abortions without co-pay.

The bishops who participated in the vigil along with Lori included Bishop William E. Koenig, of Wilmington; Auxiliary Bishop Mario E. Dorsonville, of Washington; and Auxiliary Bishops Adam J. Parker and Bruce A. Lewandowski, of Baltimore.

“Abortion is an issue that has divided our state and nation for decades,” Lori said. “The passage of (this) legislation before the Maryland General Assembly will further this deep divide by disrupting the laws already in place that safeguard life and freedom of conscience and prevent even modest laws to protect life from being enacted.”

I’m not surprised that Archbishop Gregory (elevated to Cardinal by Francis) of DC did not participate in the pro-life prayer. It’s not that far from DC to Baltimore. Or could’ve had more pressing engagement with the Big Guy, Joe B.

If Catholicism was True to Jesus then the head they call the pope would Not be promoting LGBTQ+ etc. This pope came into the light when they had the reigning pope step down from his position. When did this ever occur before?
