On Thursday, Joe Biden said he wants the U.S. Senate to carve out an exception to the 60-vote filibuster to codify pro-abortion policies into law following the U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

The Hill reports:

“The most important thing to be clear about is I believe we have to codify Roe v. Wade in the law, and the way to do that is to make sure the Congress votes to do that,” Biden said at a press conference at the NATO summit in Spain.

“And if the filibuster gets in the way, it’s like voting rights, it should be we provide an exception for this, requiring an exception to the filibuster for this action to deal with the Supreme Court decision,” Biden added.

A change to the filibuster, which requires 60 votes in the Senate for most legislation to pass, would make it so that abortion rights or privacy rights more broadly could be codified into law with a simple majority.

Democrats hold the Senate majority with 50 senators, plus Vice President Harris acting as a tie-breaking vote.

Far-left U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) endorsed Biden’s move, writing, “Now we’re talking! Time for people to see a real, forceful push for it. Use the bully pulpit. We need more.”

The Supreme Court relegated abortion to the States. Sorry Joe. Not a job for the Feds. You’ll just screw it up anyway. Go to bed without dessert 😜😜😜

I’ve got this great idea.(says the dems) Let’s just make exceptions to the rules anytime things aren’t going our way. Who cares about states rights anyway. Oh,, but we can “bribe” states to enact red flag laws and that would be okay. We can play “switch” on any issue we choose. So what’s wrong with that picture? My bad. I forgot. My beliefs and rights don’t exist unless I hang a HARD LEFT. Got It.

What senile, delusional, weak Joe Biden no longer understands is that if the Senate and House pass a bill legalizing abortion nationwide, it will still be unconstitutional because it falls under the 10th amendment. There is still nothing in the U.S. Constitution giving the federal government any power over abortion.

Right, Joe! Let’s just facilitate killing all those babies. Have a care! You will soon meet the Almighty. ‘Young men may die, but old men must.’ – Benjamin Mays

Fortunately, it’s not up to that senile sack of sh*t and the abortion issue is relegated to the states and NOT THE FEDERAL GOVT. so this ignoramus needs to adhere to the law of the land and maybe work on something that he is charged with and that’s reducing inflation, lowering costs and IMPROVING OUR ECONOMY!!!
