The Judicial Crisis Network (JCN) launched a $10 million advertising campaign Thursday highlighting what the group views as Democrats’ failure to protect Supreme Court justices amid unlawful protests, threats and an assassination attempt, according to a release shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The first ad attacks Attorney General Merrick Garland for refusing to enforce a federal law banning the picketing of judges’ residences in order to influence them, highlighting the attempted assassination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The majority of Americans view the protests outside justices homes as a threat to democracy and think Garland should enforce the law prohibiting them, JCN polling found.

“Merrick Garland has consistently bowed to the radical left’s agenda, whether it’s calling concerned parents ‘domestic terrorists’ or suing states for protecting the unborn,” JCN President Carrie Severino said in a statement. “What the Attorney General is clearly not doing is enforcing a federal law designed to protect judges at their homes, as mobs of protestors continue to harass six of the Court’s justices at their homes, even after the attempted assassination of Brett Kavanaugh.”

The first advertisement in the series highlights the twelve-year professional relationship between Garland and Kavanaugh and Garland’s failure to crack down on illegal protests outside his home and the homes of other conservative justices, even after an armed man arrested near Kavanaugh’s home confessed to attempted murder. The ad will air in the Washington, D.C. area.
