Senator Josh Hawley is pursuing the FBI full force after they needlessly abducted a man and traumatized his family at 5:00 am this past weekend.
Mark Houck offers counsel to women who are considering abortion. He stood outside of a Planned Parenthood office in Philadelphia where the incident happened. In September of 2021, a man whose job is to usher women away from pro-lifers got in his young son’s face. The stranger shouted profanities at his son and was very threatening. Houck didn’t hit the belligerent abortionist, he simply shoved him away from his son.
The man pressed charges but a local judge dismissed the case. When Houck heard that Merrick Garland’s FBI took up the case, he offered to come in willingly and talk with them. They opted instead to traumatize his family and arrest him at gunpoint at the break of dawn.
Some 20 or 30 FBI agents showed up at his house armed to the teeth. They shouted for him to open the door before they break it. When he did, his crying children saw him taken away and put in the back of a police car.
Josh Hawley is not going to tolerate this behavior. He is holding Garland’s feet to the fire. He wrote Garland a letter demanding that he testify. Here is a small excerpt:
“As Houck’s wife said, when they saw 20 or more agents arrest their father at gunpoint, ‘the kids were all just screaming,’” Hawley wrote. “To say the least, using this kind of force to make an arrest for a single charge of simple assault is unprecedented. I want to know from Merrick Garland directly why Biden’s DOJ is arresting Catholic protestors like terrorists – complete with SWAT-style tactics – while letting actual terrorist acts like firebombings go unpunished.”
Those fire bombings were frequent and devastating to these facilities that care for pregnant women.
James Harden, president and CEO of CompassCare Pregnancy Services, said that he gave investigators video surveillance footage and they’ve done nothing. “It’s Day 106. There have been no arrests. There have been over 50 attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers. And our patience is at an end,” Jordan mentioned that there have been a whopping 17 fire bombings alone.
In an interview with Fox News he said the following:
“I want to know who signed off on this,” referring to the raid on Houck’s home. “If that is Merrick Garland, he should be removed from office… It’s time to take the gloves off here and defend the rule of law.”
Sean Hannity mentioned that Garland put out a memorandum telling FBI that they are not allowed to talk to elected officials. This happened after Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio claimed that more than a dozen FBI whistleblowers came to him about politicization and corruption in the FBI.
If Hawley does take Garland to task, it won’t be the first time he has. In October 2021, he pressed Garland on the issue of the FBI attempt to label parents “domestic terrorists.” What did parents do to earn that label? They merely argued that they should have a say in their child’s development. Hawley left Garland shaking in his boots. Watch that hearing here:
We’ll be waiting eagerly to see Hawley’s next hearing with Merrick Garland.
