“I shot somebody. It was an accident,” said Richard Harvey. He was asking her to leave the property when he “accidentally” shot an 83-year-old pro-life woman.
The lady, who remains anonymous, was engaged in a heated conversation. Right to Life of Michigan reported that “The victim said that she was shot in the back/shoulder while leaving a residence during a heated conversation and that the man who shot her was not a part of her conversation.”
Harvey explains the event from his point of view on 8 News that it was an unfortunate kerfuffle leading to a devastating accident.
“She (the volunteer) is still ranting and raving, and she’s got this clipboard. She’s waving it around. I’m thinking she’s going to smack Sharon with it. So without thinking, I went to club it away with the rifle and my finger was still in the trigger guard. It went off and hit her about in here,” she said while she pointed at her right shoulder.
Richard Harvey claims it was an accident, but the motive certainly exists. Sharon Harvey, Richard’s wife, had only negative things to say about the woman. She explains her interactions with the woman as very confrontation. Using a very sarcastic tone, she said that their victim “didn’t care” that “women are going to die” as a result of Proposal 3.
Right to Life of Michigan shared that Sharon Harvey’s Facebook has militant numerous anti-Trump and pro-abortion posts. Right to Life Michigan shared a second press release covering this. “While Mr. and Mrs. Harvey publicly claim the shooting was an ‘accident,’ Sharon Harvey’s public social media posts raise questions about the motive. Mrs. Harvey’s Facebook page reveals very strong opinions on abortion, the issue the volunteer was canvassing about, and vitriol for pro-lifers and anyone who disagrees with her. Her extensive history of demonstrated hatred for people who disagree with her draws her account into question.”
Harvey reported that he told her at least a dozen times to get off his property. “I came out and she (the unidentified 83-year-old pro-life volunteer) is screaming and having a great old time, and being told … at least a dozen times, ‘You’re trespassing, get off the property,'”
The case is still under investigation and likely to develop over time.
Abortionists have no problem murdering babies in their mother’s womb so they have no problem whatsoever with murdering people in cold blood on the street. This particular individual just didn’t shoot straight.

We are to pray for even the most vile of people. Years ago I met “Jane Doe” who was the Roe in Roe v Wade at a Pro Life rally. God is so very forgiving and He reached into her heart and changed her. We are to judge all Things but pray for the lost. I still have issues at times but I choose to let Jesus do the judging….most comforting!

Many of us quote Matthew 7:1-2 thinking it forbids judging. But it’s also saying that we should judge others they way we’d want to be judged; that if we’re doing something wrong, we’d want a brother or sister to point it out even if painful so we could repent and not incur God’s wrath.
We’re to judge to convict and save, not to condemn, especially with glee and pride.

That’s true UNLESS they repent of their sin. Remember, the Gospel is about repentance, forgiveness and redemption. We must pray for sinners to repent lest they face rejection by God.

I’m wondering why Richard Harvey was armed. Typically, anti-abortion activists carry signs. Regardless, neither side of this encounter had any business being there. It’s a private matter between obstetrician and patient. And regarding the law, it now is established and enforced by state legislatures.

From the article it seems that the Harvey’s are very much pro-abortion, and the woman shot was an anti-abortionist volunteer.

Let me ask you a HARD question. Do you deserve eternal life in Heaven or Hell? I know that I deserved damnation, but the Lord through his love brought me to repentance, acceptance of Him, and salvation.
