The closure of labor, delivery, and obstetrical services at Bonner General Health in Sandpoint, Idaho is attributed to the current political climate in the state, with hospital leaders citing the criminalization of physicians and the difficulty in retaining pediatricians. The departure of esteemed medical professionals and the challenge of finding replacements is a cause for concern, though this is a problem that other states like New York have also grappled with during the COVID-19 pandemic, where healthcare workers who refused vaccinations were laid off, resulting in a need for new staff to fill essential positions.

The closure of the obstetrics unit comes as a result of state laws that threaten possible prison time for physicians who perform abortions in violation of state law. As a pro-life stance, it is important to recognize that Idaho is one of six states that prosecutes doctors for providing the procedure. In August, the justice department filed a lawsuit against Idaho for its near-total ban on abortions. It is essential to protect the lives of the unborn, and the closure of the obstetrics unit at Bonner General Health highlights the importance of pro-life laws.

One of the concerning implications is that the hospital’s decision to stop providing pregnancy care services may be due to the financial incentives of providing abortions. According to the hospital’s statement, the number of deliveries at Bonner has been declining, with only 265 babies delivered in 2022 and fewer than 10 pediatric patients admitted.

While it is unfortunate that the closure of the obstetrics unit means that residents of Sandpoint will have to travel 46 miles for the nearest labor and delivery care, as less than one baby was born a day at this hospital in 2022, it’s likely that this decision will have a very small impact overall.

There are other countries, where it is the norm to have babies delivered at home. it is less costly and it probably would be safer as more infants die their first day of life in American hospitals than in Third World Countries. I could have had my last child at home, if I had known how easy my 4th labor would be, after I simply changed my diet.

This is a big FU to the voters in Idaho by Bonner General Health in Sandpoint, Idaho. They are going to show you by making you travel 46 miles. Hire some mid-wives for the routine deliveries and have a med evac helicopter close by for difficult deliveries. Those that wish to kill babies are not happy with the SCOTUS decision and want to make you suffer. Show them you don’t need them.

The tyrannical VAX requirement will ruin medicine for another 25 years, as it has ruined livelihoods, families, and overall confidence in government and its institutions. Now it is becoming clear how the VAX has taken or will take more lives than the virus it was purported to prevent.

Anyone know where you can get pro-life personal checks? Checks Unlimited, the largest check printing company refuses to print any pro-life or anti-abortion comments on checks — but will allow comments favorable to sexual preferences or protect the whales, etc. but not life.
