Louisiana State Representative Francis Thompson has removed himself from the Democratic party as the left continues to push their abortion agenda further. According to the Daily Wire, Thompson switched to the Republican party after saying he felt prompted by his values and his Christian faith. Thompson however did not mention he would change his views, just his party, as the left is the one who has changed.

With this switch, the Republican party now has the numbers in both chambers of the state’s legislature to take a two-thirds majority giving them the ability to override vetoes by Louisiana’s Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards. This marks the first time in the states history, of roughly 210 years, that Republicans have had such an advantage.

According to Life News,

“The push the past several years by Democratic leadership on both the national and state level to support certain issues does not align with those values and principles that are a part of my Christian life,” he said in a statement.

In recent years, many pro-life Democrats have left the party, including New Jersey Congressman Jeff Van Drew, West Virginia House Del. Mick Bates, Texas state Rep. Ryan Guillen, Tennessee state Rep. John DeBerry, North Las Vegas, Nevada Mayor John Lee, Quincy, Massachusetts Mayor Thomas P. Koch, Buena Vista Township, New Jersey Committeeman John Williams, Louisiana state Rep. Elbert Guillary, a Philadelphia political activist and a pro-life leader. Many voters also have been leaving and publicly voicing their frustration with the party.

This gives the Republican party – and the state’s Republicans – a great win in many ways. Though it is also a win for the Pro-Life movement, especially in this critical time.

What liberals aka Communists fail to realize is that unlike them normal people are not murderers at heart.
