In a recent episode of “The Tamron Hall Show,” James and singing partner Sandra “Pepa” Denton discussed how women can be moms while also having a successful career, as they were both able to do. Though during the segment James admitted she was asked to have an abortion by a record label person, whom she did not name, to which she turned down.

“Having my daughter, besides finding Jesus, is the best thing that I’ve ever experienced, my kids. Like, I needed that lil’ baby in my life, you know? She kept me company on the road.” – James said of her daughter and her decision of not having an abortion.

The duo however are not the only ones in Hollywood that have been pressured away from starting families. Many celebrities have begun coming out in support of starting families and having a life outside of work. Such as Pink who recently revealed that she was told having kids would ruin her career. The duo told Tamron that the demands of Hollywood are all out of fear of losing money in the industry as Stars take time off to start families. Though, they, like other celebrities, still do it out of the joy of welcoming children into the world.
