Congratulations to my friend and colleague Senator Susan Collins on her 7,000th consecutive roll call vote! An incredible achievement worthy of recognition. Via Wikimedia Commons.

Susan Collins, one of two pro-abortion Republicans in the Senate, announced this morning that she will vote for pro-abortion Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson. Her vote almost guarantees that Jackson’s nomination will be approved despite massive concern over her giving light prison sentences to child pornographers.

Collins said in a statement Tuesday that she met with Jackson a second time after four days of hearings last week and decided that “she possesses the experience, qualifications, and integrity to serve as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court.”

“I will, therefore, vote to confirm her to this position,” Collins said.

Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema hasn’t yet said how she would vote but pro-life Democrat Joe Manchin of West Virginia will vote for Jackson along with the rest of the Democrat caucus. With Susan Collins and potentially another Republican Lisa Murkowski voting for Jackson, Democrats would at least get the 50 votes they need to tie and allow Kamala Harris to make the tie-breaking vote.

Collins can’t possibly ‘betray” pro-lifers. She has always been against pro-life. She stays true to form on this subject.

I wish for every person who is strongly believes in abortion, to have a very realistic, and graphic dream about abortion, in which they are the baby being aborted. They will wake up screaming.
