Welcome! From the heartbeat of the nation, The Daily Pulse gives you a look into pro-life news from the past 24 hours. Today, we are looking at abortion bans since Roe v. Wade was handed down to states nearly one year ago.

The Dobbs Divide
New statistics shared solely with FiveThirtyEight by #WeCount — a nationwide research initiative steered by the Society of Family Planning, a non-profit advancing research on abortion and contraception — show that legal abortions saw a significant reduction by 24,290 between July 2022 and March 2023, compared to pre-Dobbs figures. As a result of the decreased access to legal abortions, these individuals might have carried their pregnancies to term or sought abortions outside the legal framework, both of which would be undetectable in #WeCount’s data. This substantial decline in legal abortions indicates the effectiveness of pro-life measures in fostering a culture of life.

Abortion Bans are Working, Over 24,000 Babies Have Been Saved From Abortions
Data suggests that the number of abortions has significantly declined following the implementation of pro-life laws enacted after the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade.
