On July 4th, Megan Trainor joyfully announced the birth of her second child, Barry Bruce Trainor, a gift of life she and her husband, Daryl Sabara, are immensely grateful for. This announcement included a few heartwarming pictures of the newborn, one of which showed Trainor in the hospital bed cradling her son.

The timing of Barry’s birth held a special significance for the couple, as Trainor shared, “On July 1st, the 7-year anniversary of our first date, we welcomed Barry Bruce Trainor into the world.” Barry made a notable entrance, weighing in at 8lbs 7oz. Despite being in a transverse position, the delivery was successful via a c-section. Trainor expressed her gratitude to the medical staff, stating, “Thank you to all of the incredible doctors and nurses who took such great care of us.”

The couple’s choice of a name for their child was decided early on when Trainor was 10 weeks pregnant. As advocates for the sanctity of life from the moment of conception, they began to affectionately refer to the baby by name while he was still in the womb. Out of caution against online criticism, they chose to keep this intimate detail private.

Trainor and Sabara are already parents to their beloved 2-year-old son, Riley, who they eagerly anticipate will make an excellent big brother. In January, Trainor publicly shared the news of her second pregnancy during a visit to TODAY, joyfully exclaiming, “We did it!” Fans learned of the baby’s gender during an April episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

The pop star often expresses her deep admiration for her husband, describing him as her “main best friend, partner, and everything.” Indeed, these moments of growth and transformation in their family life are cherished experiences they navigate hand in hand.
