Marjorie Taylor Greene got into a heated confrontation with Democrat Rep. Debbie Dingell on Friday over abortion on the steps of the U.S. Capitol Friday.
As The Washington Examiner reports:
Firebrand Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene exchanged screams and harsh words with Democrats gathering on the Capitol steps for a press conference right after the House passed a bill to protect abortion rights on Friday.
Greene, leaving the House chamber for votes, walked past the Democrats and started yelling at them about their position on abortion.
“Killing a baby up until birth is not a right. That’s not healthcare,” Greene said.
California Democratic Rep. Pete Aguilar, vice chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, said to Greene: “You’re performative.”
Greene has long been one of the most confrontational members of the congressional GOP and has rarely missed a chance to take on Democrats, especially regarding the Life issue.
Rep. Greene argued on the House floor previously about the bill, while Dingell was presiding:
