On Friday, Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX) bravely voted against Pelosi’s most extreme pro-abortion bill ever to arrive in the chamber in history, which would legalize full-term abortion-on-demand without restrictions. Cuellar, a Democrat, is a member of the Catholic faith and has stood up against late-term abortion in the House before.
But after Cuellar was the only Democrat to vote against the radical measure, far-left abortion up-to-birth group EMILY’s List bashed him for his life-affirming vote.
“Congressman Henry Cuellar has shown us time and again where he stands, and that’s against abortion,” the group said in a statement. “While his home state has essentially made abortion illegal and inaccessible, Congressman Cuellar continues to stand against our rights to make our own health care decisions.”

Jessica Cisneros, who had a bitter loss in the 2020 Democrat primary to Cuellar and is challenging him again in 2022, accused the Congressman of “refus[ing] to defend our reproductive rights.” But she made no mention of the rights of those in the womb.
Today, Henry Cuellar was the only Democrat to vote against protecting human rights.

The Daily Caller reports:
Following the defeats of Illinois Rep. Dan Lipinski and Minnesota Rep. Collin Peterson in 2020, Cuellar is the last Democrat in the House of Representatives to oppose abortion. One of the most moderate Democrats in the House, Cuellar has also been critical of the Biden administration’s immigration policy.
The group Democrats for Life praised Cuellar, with president Kristen Day saying “Abortion should not be a partisan issue.” She added, “We hope that other Democrats in Congress will follow the lead of Congressman Cuellar and vote for women rather than for the abortion industry.”
