A recent LifeNews article mentioned that Target is now providing employees health insurance plans that include abortion coverage and coverage for expenses related to travel for abortions. That LifeNews article’s purpose was to highlight the change in the company. Target had previously been a champion in featuring children with disabilities, such as Down syndrome, in advertisements. Though it seems they flipped their mission as the mega-chain is now funneling money to Planned Parenthood affiliates and cutting down the very people they had included in advertisements. This is completely disheartening as “nearly 70% of women who learn they are pregnant with a child with Down syndrome choose abortion.” Target isn’t alone though, so what other companies are unfortunately flipping suit or just flat out supporting abortions these days?

Gap
Gap, like Target, had included children with disabilities in their 2022 back to school campaign, #GapKidsBelong. At the time it seemed like a great campaign promoting inclusion. Though immediately following the Dobbs ruling last summer they beefed their insurance policy up to provide abortion coverage for their employees.

H&M
Swedish company, H&M had had an ad campaign featuring a young boy with Down syndrome at the end of 2022. Though, sadly, at the same time they were providing their employees living in the states travel and transportation expenses in the name of abortion coverage. When they unveiled their ad campaign, featuring a toddler with Down syndrome in one of their sweaters, they had said they were focused “on inclusion and diversity in selecting models.” Though they weren’t protecting the very group they were seeking to represent.

The following five additional brands do not cover the rest of the companies who are providing abortion benefits, and supporting abortions, they just scratch the surface.
