Joe Biden’s stance on abortion has been a controversial topic since he ran for President in 2020. As reported by multiple news outlets, Biden and other Democrats have shown support for abortions up to birth. White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed this during her recent briefing, where a reporter asked her to respond to comments from Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley.

Haley reminded viewers during a CNN Town Hall that Democrats are against any limits on abortions. “No one asks them how late they’re willing to go,” Haley remarked, much to the applause of the audience.

The reporter asked Pierre about the administration’s position on whether they would sign bills allowing abortions at 37, 38, and 39 weeks. Pierre replied that she did not watch Haley’s town hall, but what she could speak to was that the president will continue to call on Congress to restore Roe v. Wade.

Roe v. Wade allowed abortions up to birth for virtually any reason unless states specifically passed laws protecting babies from late-term abortions. This means that Joe Biden and other Democrats support abortions up to birth for any state that wants no restrictions on abortion. Statistics show that the majority of Americans are in favor of abortion laws that include limitations on late-term abortions.

It is important to note that Biden’s stance on abortion is not in line with the views of many Americans, both Democrats, and Republicans. This issue remains a contentious one in the US, and it is likely to continue to be a topic of concern for some time to come.
