According to police, Dupree had been involved in a domestic abuse incident with a victim, who was said to be the mother of the two babies. Following the incident, Dupree barricaded himself with the babies inside the Centennial Village Apartments on Wilson St., refusing to respond to police communication.

Police eventually entered the apartment to find the babies unharmed, but Dupree was nowhere to be found. It is believed that he had fled and locked the doors before a perimeter was set up by law enforcement. Warrants for Dupree’s arrest are currently being prepared.
