Welcome! From the heartbeat of the nation, The Daily Pulse gives you a look into pro-life news from the past 24 hours. Today, we are looking at how the U.S. House and Senate are continuing their fight for the pro-life movement on Capitol Hill.

House Republicans Introduce “The Most Pro-Life Congressional Budget Ever”
Representative Ben Cline, R-Va., announced the introduction of what he termed “the most pro-life congressional budget ever produced,” featuring dozens of life-affirming policies, to The Daily Signal. The budget’s unveiling, which occurred ten days prior to the first anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade-overturning decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, includes over 220 bills and initiatives supported by the committee members. A substantial portion of these bills and initiatives emphasize pro-life positions.

Pro-Life Senator Tommy Tuberville Won’t Back Down, Stands Strong Against Pentagon’s Abortion Funding
Pro-Life Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama maintains his resistance against the Department of Defense’s policy of funding abortions, despite pro-abortion Democrats’ objections. This policy mandates taxpayers cover travel costs and paid leave for military members and their families seeking abortions. Due to this, Republicans estimate an annual increase of roughly 4,100 abortions, partly funded by taxpayers.

Rep. Chris Smith Denounces Biden’s Abortion Agenda in Foreign AIDS Relief Program
Republican Congressman Chris Smith, along with other notable American pro-life leaders and African government officials, is cautioning Washington legislators about the Biden administration’s use of the nation’s largest foreign aid program, the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), to advocate for abortion overseas. In a letter to Congress, Smith alleges that the Biden administration has commandeered the PEPFAR program, a $6 billion-per-year foreign aid initiative designed to alleviate HIV/AIDS predominantly in African countries. The administration’s aim, he asserts, is to advance an aggressive abortion-on-demand agenda.
